In Latin means: "Land planted with fruit trees" - hence the name of this plot. This vine is located next to that of “Chenevottes”, where the soils are rich and deep. The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers is produced from a plot of Chardonnay planted in 2004, covering 0.7 hectares, located mid-slope north of the village and facing due East. The vineyard is located on a hillside of limestone and stony land, marly in places or more sandy. Marble stone quarries in the surroundings form a rocky ground. All of these incredible and singular geological factors pave way for this benchmark chardonnay showcasing incredible complexity and verve.
