Rivers-Marie is owned and operated by husband and wife, winemaker Thomas Brown and Genevieve Welsh. The name comes from combining both of their middle names. For years, the wines were primarily sold through their allocation list with very limited domestic distribution so we are so honored to share this small handful with you today! Recently, however, in late Rivers-Marie opened a winery and tasting room just south of Calistoga to continue sharing their story and wine directly.

There are a number of premium wine areas in the world where the climate and vines come together in a way that feels like a perfect match. In Bordeaux, this is the case with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, in Piedmont, this is the case with Nebbiolo, and in California’s Sonoma Coast, this is the case with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Rivers-Marie proves year after year that they are masters of their craft. Singular wines are made to reflect the vineyard and vintage from which they came.
