The 2021 Bouzeron was harvested by hand from vines averaging 65 years old (with the oldest being 115 years old.) These near-ancient vines have reduced their yields quite substantially leading to fewer berries being produced, but of far more impactful flavor and concentration. Each of them are farmed organically, and with delicate care. The old vines themselves are that of Aligoté Doré, which is a pre-clonal selection of Aligoté. This selection is increasingly rare, so can only be derived from these older vines, making it a rare opportunity for something incredible-- densely flavored fruit with fresh flavors and aromas. The 2021 is ready to drink upon release but will continue to develop for 10+ years in your cellar.
