The Domaine Cottenceau Givry Blanc "Champ Pourot" 2021 is a refined expression of Burgundy's renowned white wines, showcasing the elegance and purity of Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise. The grapes are picked from 20 year old vines planted in the clay and limestone dominated soils of this south-facing site in Givry. On the nose, aromas of ripe orchard fruits like pear and apple intertwine with delicate white florals and almonds, characteristic of thoughtful oak aging. The palate is beautifully balanced, offering a harmonious creamy texture and mineral-driven freshness. Domaine Cottenceau's meticulous craftsmanship shines in this bottle, and is quite limited with only 75 cases produced.
Comprised of 100% Chardonnay from vines averaging 20 years of age this wine hails from incredibly limited holdings in France and are part of less than 1,000 produced! We are excited to be at the vanguard of this producer with you all and share their story. Aromas of white and yellow flowers, and citrus zest are met with a medium-bodied and fresh palate, with more white flowers and mineral notes. The estate vines in ‘Champ Pourot’ face full south on a mostly flat plain. Soils are rich in clay, with some limestone.
