Nicolas Maillart owns and farms vineyards across some of the most celebrated plots, just south of Reims, in Écueil, Villers-Allerand, and Bouzy. Hailed as some of the finest terroirs for growing Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Petit Meslier. To fully extract the distinct qualities of each grape for both his blended multi-vintage cuvées as well as his single-vintage expression, all of his Champagnes are fermented and aged in wood and bottled with very little dosage, or added sugar.
The young winemaker has been making wine for the family estate since 2003 and despite his young age has had two decades to perfect his craft. He works with all of his vineyards by hand and with close familiarity is able to develop Champagnes of incredible precision.
