The name of this focused, small-production producer takes inspiration from the blessings of the land alongside the desire to take liberties and experiment. Mathilde, the enologist, expanded within Rochefort, Loire and incorporates an array of grape varieties (Chenin, Pineau d'Aunis, Sauvignon, Grolleau Gris, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc).
Piéce de Rollay is 100% Chenin Blanc from 80 year old vines. These older vines have well established roots and dig deep into various layers of strata, demonstrating incredible minerality. Within the Loire Valley, it is common practice to age in stainless steel, however this cuvée is aged entirely in oak, 50% new, for one year allowing it to fully develop.
