Kosta Browne Winery began in 1997 when founders Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, along with partner Chris Costello, turned their restaurant experience into a winemaking venture. Pooling their tips to buy grapes and equipment, they produced their first successful vintage in 2003. Kosta Browne is renowned for its elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with standout vineyards in the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, and Sta. Rita Hills. Their commitment to innovation and quality was cemented in 2011 when their 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was named Wine Spectator’s #1 Wine of the Year. Today, they produce 15,000 cases annually, crafting wines that capture the unique expression of California’s finest growing regions. Kosta Browne has achieved cult status within the Californian wine and Pinot Noir community.
