Giacomo Conterno is a historic producer of one of Italy’s finest and most iconic wines, Barolo Monfortino. Now run by Roberto Conterno, grandson of the late Giacomo Conterno. In addition to the Barolos made by Giacomo Conterno, there is also Barbera d’Alba produced from both Cascina Francia and Cerretta, two of Serralunga d'Alba's most choice parcels. The Barbera are aged two years in large botti and are some of the most brilliant examples of this underrated grape to be found in Piemonte.
